Ya'll Knew...Make- Do

Here's what I made with my two ladder back chairs and curtains.

I guess you could call it a make-do settee.

I've made a number of make-do chairs and have been wanting to try a settee.

I'm pretty happy with the results.

I did cut the fabric a little to

short on the seat cushion and I didn't have another curtain to cut up,

so I'll just have to live with my mistake.

I filled the cushion with down for an early look.

I know the fabric looks black and white,

but, it's black and dark cream.

Many of you ask if I would post photos and instructions of my project.

I'm sorry to say that I got so engrossed in the project it's self I didn't take time to take

photos of my work in progress.

explaining how she made her make-do chair and she was kind enough to let me add

My settee was made using the same basic process Lisa used.

For the settee two chairs are placed side by side and held together by placing

one piece of plywood across the back and front, just like Lisa did with her chair.

Make sure the chairs seat form a straight line in front.

The front legs will be together, but there will be a gap between the back legs.

In the past I tacked the fabric on the chair.

This time I measured and sewed

the fabric, almost like making slip covers.
