What was I thinking!

As you may recall in an earlier post I mentioned I was thinking of painting.
I wanted to go dark, something in the gray/brown family.
Well, I do want to paint but, I also want to sell our house.
There lies the problem!
After some thought and an episode of HGTV's Designed To Sell,
I remembered the ole' neutral wall rule for selling a home.
Now, I know gray/brown is a neutral...just not as buyer friendly as
my Cafe latte whitish walls!
So, no painting for me....
I guess I'll have to come up with something else to keep me busy!

  1. Yeah, some of the stuff on Designed to Sell is almost boring. My house would never sell, I have too much "personal taste" going on!

  2. Having bought and sold three houses, it is true that the less a potential buyer sees that they will have to change, the better the chances are a sale will be made. :(
I'm looking forward to seeing your next project!

  3. I WENT BY THE PAINT STORE TODAY AND GOT SAMPLES FOR OUR BEDROOM... THERE ARE SO MANY BEAUTFUL COLORS.. MANY ARE DEEP RATHER THAN DARK SO YOU GET A FRESH "DARK" LOOK WITHOUT ACTUALLY BEING DARK.. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE??lol ~~ANYWAY I AM READY TO PAINT & MY POOR HELPER (MY DEAR HUSBAND) SHAKES HIS HEAD WHEN I GET IN THE MOOD TO REDO.. HE KNOWS IT MEANS LOTS OF WORK BUT HE HELPS OUT REALLY GOOD. HAVE A GREAT WEEK..
